Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hai is a Hindi drama movie that involves mixed emotions of love, separation, family, society, dilemma and innocence. Movie stars Govinda and Sonali Bendre in lead roles. Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hai was directed by Mahesh Manjrekar and was released in the year 2000. The film was produced by Jackie Shroff and Ayesha Shroff.

The film shows the story of a young boy named Ganga( played by Govinda) who was born sick, doctors told his parents that he needs to be  kept away from routine life of city and near the sheep. He has to stay with sheep until he gets well. Hence, his parents give him to a village couple who took care of him. Ganga an innocent child, grows and nurtures in the village environment with all the qualities of a sober village boy. When the time comes for his marriage, his parents tell them that his biological parents live in city with his family. He then leave the village to meet his family. Their he finds his parents who are wealthy and have lot of comforts. His married elder brother and his children. And his parents want him to marry a modern girl Tina. Ganga agrees to do whatever his family wants for their happiness. But will the so called developed and cunning society will let Ganga live with his comfort? Is their any dilemma he faces? What about the girl from the village whom he loves? All this makes the movie interesting.

Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hai is a nice movie. It is rated good and has nice songs. Music of the movie is given by Anand Raj Anand. Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hai hindi songs are sung by Udit Narayan, Shraddha Pandit, Sukhwinder Singh, Abhijeet, Anuradha Sriram, Sadhna Sargam, Sunidhi Chauhan and others.
