Aakhree Raasta was directed by K Bhagyaraja in the year 1986.

The movie stars Amitabh Bachchan, Jayapradha, Sridevi in lead roles.The movie is good and among the hit movies of Amitabh. David D’Costa (Amitabh Bachchan) lives a relatively poor life in Bombay with his wife Mary D’Costa (Jayapradha) who is pregnant. He literally worships Chaturvedi (Sadashiv Amrapurkar), and is even willing to die for him. He introduces Mary to Chaturvedi. One day he gets arrested and is bailed out by Mahesh (Anupam Kher) and when  he returns home he finds that Mary has committed suicide.  She left a note blaming Chaturvedi for molesting her. When asked  Chaturvedi with help of Police Inspector and Dr. Verma destroy the evidence and he is sentenced to 20 years in prison for Mary’s murder. After returns from jail his child is brought up by his friend Mahesh  and finds that his son is CID Inspector son James, who he has re-named Vijay (also Amitabh Bachchan). David sets to kill his tormentors one by one the only obstruction he faces is none other than Vijay who unaware of David being his father is out to protect the 3 people.And thus, it ends. Overall, the movie was appreciated. Especially the change Bhagyaraja made at the last minute worked.
Music is awesome. It is give by Laxmikant Pyarelal. Songs are sung by Mohammed Aziz and S. Janki.
