Takkar was directed by Bharat Rangachary in the year 1995.

The movie stars Naseeruddin Shah, Sunil Shetty and Sonali Bendre.The story highlights a convict studies law in prison and becomes a lawyer to seek revenge against the corrupt police officer who framed him on the very day of his marriage. The movie takes a turn when the inspector gets attracted to the girl the convict ( Sunil Shetty) was to marry. The story maintains the audience interest with the hep of appreciating action bu Sunil Shetty.

Music is very good. Its is given by Anu Malik. Songs are sung by Abhijeet, Alka Yagnik and Kumar Sanu.
